What we are Doing

Sarah and I are taking a year long sabbatical and plan to explore Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia. The first five and a half months will be in Europe, then back home for Christmas, followed by four months in New Zealand where we will hike the South Island Te Araroa trail. After a very long shower, we will then head to Australia, and wrap up our year of travel in Southeast Asia. This has been in the works for quite some time, and we have had several iterations and timelines of possible plans. In the midst of some iterations, we even questioned if this would happen given the twists and turns - trying to remain optimistic while preparing for either outcome. We were finally able to lock down plans after the company I worked for was bought out, and I secured a transitional role with the new company that had a hard end date.
